Ascensionist (formerly Daemon) Playbook

This is a PC playbook for Blades in the Dark.

An Ascensionist seeks to gain immortality and power by transforming themselves into a demon by a process known as “ascension.” Transforming into a demon is a fundamentally different type of life, infused with electroplasmic essence that would otherwise be fundamentally toxic to life. This process is not the act of being bound to a demon, although demons might try to bend you to their will to either facilitate or obstruct your transition. It is not even clear that such a thing can be done, whether it is indeed dark ancient magic or myth is unknown to even the most learned of scholars. But even to taste the power is to corrupt a mortal soul, and only the narrowest of paths could possibly lead to an Ascension.
