Thanks to the invaluable feedback from the v1 launch, I'm thrilled to share the improvements in Forge the Future v1.1!

• Embracing Hope and Positivity: The opening language has been refined to better reflect the core intent of the game—capturing the hope and optimism that drives entrepreneurs to make the world a better place, while also exploring the challenges and temptations they face along the way.
• Consequences of Giving Up Equity: New mechanics now reflect the real-world impact of giving up equity. Players will experience the tension of losing control over their startup, adding meaningful consequences to these critical decisions.
• Streamlined Key Relationships: Boosts and Startup Consequences have been replaced with a simplified system centered around Key Relationships. This update deepens the narrative stakes, introducing real consequences for delighting—or alienating—customers, employees, investors, and other key stakeholders.
• Faster, Predictable Downtime: Inspired by Blades in the Dark: Deep Cuts, downtime mechanics have been reworked to require fewer rolls, making them faster and delivering more consistent, predictable outcomes.
